About
Club History
For 35 years, Western Lehigh United Soccer Club (WLUSC) has been providing soccer education, coaching, training, and a competitive playing environment for the youth in our community. Founded as a not for profit public organization, the club was developed and operates for public benefit. WLUSC is administered by a volunteer board.
The club was founded in 1989 after the merging of four local youth soccer associations: Alburtis, Emmaus, Macungie and Upper Milford. WLUSC has grown over the years and now welcomes players and coaches from all areas of the Lehigh Valley, PA.
WLUSC's coaches are professionals with extensive background, trainining and experience. In addition to coaching for WLUSC, many of our coaches are also coaches at local college and high school programs.
Our teams have had great success, consistently competing in State Cup Finals, with some advancing to Regionals and Nationals.
Our focus is on each athlete as a person. We develop their soccer fundamentals and intelligence. We play to compete and to win, but development as player and person is our focus. Training and competing in a committed, competitive soccer environment provides our players with extensive opportunities to develop character and life lessons that will benefit our players in all their endeavors off the pitch. Our coaches teach soccer, but they also teach perserverance, teamwork, and how to pursue and achieve goal. We want our athletes to succeed at soccer, but more importantly, to succeed in life.
Scholarships
WLUSC firmly believes that each child who wishes to play soccer should be entitled to do so regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances. Our club will not deny any child a chance to play soccer due to a financial hardship. Learn more about our scholarship opportunities, Click Here.
The club has already handed out 5 scholarships for the 2023/2024 season. Thank you to all of our fundraising sponsors for help making this possible.
